We’ve added more stats! GameChanger has added some of our most popularly requested stats – BABIP, GB%, FB%, and strikeouts looking (K-L) – to a player’s stats for both hitting and pitching.
Batting Average on Balls in Play (“BABIP”) is a statistic that measures success on batted balls that remain in the field of play. BABIP is a strong guideline to measure quality, consistent contact with the ball, resulting in maximized run production for the team.
FB% & GB%
Fly Ball Percentage (“FB%”) is the percentage of balls hit in play that are fly balls and Ground Ball Percentage (“GB%”) is the percentage of balls hit in play that are ground balls. FB% and GB% can be used to identify tendencies in your hitters, giving every coach valuable insights into what drills and techniques each player should be working on in practice.
K-L
Strikeouts Looking (“K-L”) is the number of times a player has struck out looking at the 3rd strike. Coaches can use Strikeouts Looking to identify what players need to work on expanding the strike zone with two strikes.
